Last: Lonely Shepard by furry-jackal Last: Lonely Shepard by furry-jackal
Well, when the muse first prodded me to draw him in his western-ish outfit to celebrate that he had learned a new Western song, I had not really had the time to heed the proddings. Well, a week or so has gone by and he's had a miserable time since. Ups and downs in general but whenever he manages to have a cheerful moment someone kicks him back down again.

So this picture wound up being more of a sad one. The western theme of the lonely cowboy just wouldn't leave and Zamfir's "Lonely Shepard" Just stuck in my head and wouldn't go away and pretty much stayed playing while I drew this.
Despite his happiness with his mate, Tal's actually a very lonely furry. He really knows only three people he can really talk to that REALLY understand where he's coming from and for the most part they're just not around and he's always been in places he just doesn't have a niche, doesn't fit in, is not slutty enough, is too shy, too monogamous, often invisible or whatever other stupid thing his life has handed him and that makes for a very lonely boy.

So all of this spawned this picture. Hey, sometimes the muse just needs to pour that emotion out. Next picture will be more cheery. My apologies for the grim.

Grim is good. Quite the atmosphere, and the color suits it.
